Who We Are and What We Do:
Our Dayton Mall Non-Profit Co-Op gathers donations from the community and stores them for local non-profit organizations who either aren’t open yet, can’t yet have volunteers, don’t have a brick and mortar location or who can’t be served elsewhere. In addition, we help non-profits by storing all the items they don’t have room for. We collect items from the community, sort it, store it and distribute it to the non-profits in need.
The Co-Op was started back when the pandemic first hit the Miami Valley - and we decided to collect items while the mall was closed. We've since discovered that the need will always be here, so it is our goal to keep this running continuously, and help fill the needs of our Miami Valley residents.
If you wish to donate, here are suggestions:
If you wish to volunteer:
Currently, our need is for volunteers to help unpack and sort the donations of non-perishable food items, paper goods, cleaning supplies, personal items, dog & cat food, baby supplies, school supplies and more. The volunteer hours are M-F 10a-4p, as well as some weekends - but hours can be flexible.
It takes one “training” of about 5-10 minutes – and then the rest is up to you. The hours and days are up to the person volunteering. Once trained, there is a back entrance for them to come in and out. The volunteers are also asked to sign in and out. We provide water, hand sanitizer, snacks and if needed, masks.
If you are a Non-Profit:
Please email karen.kellybrown@washingtonprime.com and you will be set up to pick up items for those you serve.
